The long, long f-stop

Spider-Man 2 director Sam Raimi wants to mount cameras above every major U.S. city and shoot a frame a day for 1,000 years to record a movie showing how each city crumbles into decay after Jesus comes back.
I totally made up the Jesus part, but Mr. Raimi really does want to build what he calls “The Century Cam” even though it would actually shoot a millennium’s worth of footage. 1,000 years of a frame a day would create a 4-hour film, or one roughly 3-hours shorter than the director’s cut of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
