An incredibly bad idea

People were someone chagrined by Gmail’s practice of including ads in the online email service’s interface based on message content. But howzabout this: You’re reading an article at and note an underlined word or phrase, expecting it to be a hyperlink to some related article or site.
But no! Instead, Forbes is inserting pop-up ads related to words and phrases like “money” (ING Direct! Get an Orange savings account!) or “insurance policies” (Compare multiple life insurance policies at!), further blurring the already tenuous line between editorial and advertising.
