To top if off, they all wear those sweaters with leather patches on the elbows.

So I just did a round trip on the old satellite dial, turned it off and cruised the political shitsphere blogosphere and I feel like I need to take a shower. Seriously, mud slinging like I’ve never seen on both sides of the equation. Half asserting that unless Kerry gets 300 electoral votes that the supreme court will again side with their party and push Bush back in again, while the other half asserts that democrats are the vote cheating party and will sue till 2008 unless Bush wins many key states.
But, like any election day you have a choice.
Have you seen CSPAN lately? It’s like watching paint peel. Yes, it’s drop-dead boring but you know what? That’s exactly what I want right now. No fucking spin spin spin, no cheerleading to the base, just dry-as-an-iraqi-desert reporting from really boring people. In case you didn’t know, CSPAN is where TV people go when PBS finds them too milquetoast.
Anyway, if you’re like me and you find the unenthusiastic reading of data appealing, head over to after 3PM ET/noon PT today to start seeing returns and for the love of god keep your TV turned off until 9PM ET/6PM when CSPAN goes live with nothing but official exit polling results from the Associated Press. AP are the only folks doing exit polling and you’ll basically be getting the same data the jerkasses at the networks are getting, but without any of the spin.
CSPAN: it’s kinda like what journalism once aspired to be, before it sold its soul.
