Rearing ugly head

A conservative Christian political group known as the Arlington Group has written a letter to Bush’s main political adviser, Karl “My Head is a Giant Pimple” Rove stating that unless the president puts on a big push to get the same-sex marriage ban amendment passed before he tries to tackle social security reform, they will withhold support for any attempts at privitization.
The group, made up of the usual suspects (DObson, Falwell, Southern Baptist Convention, American Family Association) finds it hard to understand why so much political capital is being spent on social security reform — which lacks broad public support — while the prejudicial constitution amendment lies there without anyone at the White House stapling it to a cross and flailing Congress with it.
