Backing Bolton

Our whiney dullard of a President used one of my favorite phrases today, urging politians to “put aside politics” and confirm his pet walrus as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
Standing in front of insurance agents and brokers, Bush said with his usual smarmy and self-satisfied type of weird charm that “sometimes politics gets in the way of doing the people’s business.” He didn’t specify which people he was referring to, but knowing this administration that would be the type who gouge energy prices and force rolling blackouts.
The walrus in question is having problems because some of his old staffers think he’s a prick who likes to threaten and bully people who don’t agree with him — which is just the kind of person we need doing “the people’s business.”
