Vatican: Just say no to gay marriage

In a completely unsurprising turn of events, a senior Vatican cardinal has called Spain’s plan to allow gay marriages and adoptions “iniquitous” AKA “sinful or ungodly” and says that Catholics in that highly Catholic country should disobey the law even if doing so as a municipal official means they lose their jobs.
Cardinal Alfonso Lopes Trujillo said, “A law as profoundly iniquitous as this one is not an obligation, it cannot be an obligation. One cannot say that a law is right simply because it is law. They should exercise the same conscientious objection asked of doctors and nurses against a crime such as abortion.”
He then stated that the church doesn’t discriminate against gays, adding that “They are people who deserve all our love, our support and our aid.”
Except sometimes, and “all” being negotiable.
